What ever happened to correct social skills and etiquette?

Hello all, thank you for stopping by!

I do pray that you all will have a blessed day! And there is 84 days until December 25th when the Birth of JESUS will be celebrated here. And then 90 days from today will be 2022 GOD willing! Time moves right along quickly!

I have concerns about how we treat one another. For things have changed to the point as how we address one another in everyday conversation. I maybe old school in my up bringing, but this up bringing is less complicated. Such as,

I would not address a crowd or room of men and women as “guys”. Never did like being called a guy. I am a natural born woman and I love it and are grateful to GOD for this honor. It is disrespectful to me to be addressed as a “guy” regardless if “everyone” else is doing it. And “everyone” else is not.

Genesis 2:23

“And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.”

King James Version (KJV)

Being rude by asking people you do not know personal questions. Some people like to keep their lives personal until they feel the need to talk about it. I had a woman one ask me questions while online at a coffee shop as to where I live, worked and so forth. Never met her before. And when I told her she was asking a lot of personal questions she then told me on or two things about herself. Then stopped. People who gossip do this. We all who follow JESUS know we should not do this.

Ephesians 4:29

“Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.”

King James Version (KJV)

Etiquette

et·i·quette/ˈedəkət,ˈedəˌket/Learn to pronouncenoun

  1. the customary code of polite behavior in society or among members of a particular profession or group.”the rules of etiquette are changing”

In trying my best to be polite at all times, I do not understand why those who are rude do not see it as rude. We should treat each other as how GOD wants us to treat each other. And this is said about those who attend Church, I was not mentioning those who are not saved or who live secular lifestyles. I am talking about those who claim to be in the body of Christ too.

As we come closer to the time when our LORD will return, things will get worse. But as Christians we need to study the word. For the Bible is the recipe for a good life pleasing to our GOD. And in the word of GOD there is wisdom. He teaches us social etiquette, and social skills to live peacefuly with each other and to first and foremost worship GOD as how HE commands.
