If you had to give up one word that you use regularly, what would it be?

I will do this. But mean no harm by it.
When talking and speaking to others, and a question is asked of me. I am gathering my thoughts to put into words.
I was once told by a teacher in school that it is a bad habit she will see us students doing. It annoyed her. Because it looked to her like we were just finding words to say.
We were though! 😀
- Proverbs 18:21: “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: And they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof”
- James 3:8: “The tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison”
- Proverbs 21:23: “Whoso keeps his mouth and his tongue keeps his soul (mind, will, emotions) from troubles”
- Psalm 34:12-13: “Whoever of you loves life and desires to see many good days, keep your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking lies”
- Psalm 141:3: “Set a guard over my mouth, O LORD; keep watch over the door of my lips”
- Psalm 19:14: “Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer”
The more you say or how you say it will get you into something you don’t want.
Like saying “Umm” to a stern English teacher. 😉
Have a blessed day ❤️ 🙏🏾

Like and um are such easy filler words. I make my students practice talking without using them as a game with very entertaining results
