Being thankful every day to GOD!

1 Thessalonians 5:18

“In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”

King James Version

Good morning everyone, or the time you are able to read this blog. I do hope and pray that you all will be able to enjoy your day!

This 2019, as we get to the “Turkey Day” we will gather our loved ones together at the table and enjoy a good meal. Yes , it is not a Christian holiday, but to those of us who are one we make it so by giving thanks to our GOD in unity with our friends and family. Food is used as sort of like a bonding and enjoyment to the celebration.

But we all know we should give thanks to our beloved FATHER GOD for all of the blessings he has given us our whole life long each and every single day of life.

GOD is good, loving and patient.

For those of you who are able to be with your family in a nice warm home, in clean clothes, good health and a good paying job you are thankful but do not realize just how blessed you are. There are so many places where people are suffering . Not just AFRICA as some people will be quick to say off the top of their heads, but this is ALL over the world were people suffer.

You can walk down the streets of Manhattan New York on 5th ave and see homeless people or ride the subways. These people are still someones child, mother, father, brother, sister, relative or friend. So to walk by and disrespect a person when they are down is not GODLY. We should do what we can to help in the GODLY way for people, not just during the holiday seasons, but all seasons do people need help.

I would love to one day , GOD willing to have a shelter for women and children separately for the single moms, one for single men alone, and one for families so they are not separated or broken up. Such as the dad sent to another location from the wife and children.

Let us count our blessings. I bet you can count up to about 100 if you took the time to do so. Once we do let us thank GOD for those we remember and for those we have forgotten too.

I am so grateful to be able to share my love of GOD with you all as one of my blessings!

Psalms 107:1

“O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.”

King James Version (KJV)

The squeaky door you hear in the background is my husband coming into the kitchen to see how dinner is coming along! LOL! This is the baked mac and cheese about to go into the oven at 350 for about 30 minutes or until done.

Ephesians 5:20

“Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;”

King James Version (KJV)

I usually leave the turkey in longer than when I see the pop-up. The skin has to be buttery crispy for us. Not soggy, but the meat still being tender.

Colossians 3:15 – 3:17

15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.

James 1:17

“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.”

King James Version (KJV)

Philippians 4:6

“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.”

King James Version (KJV)

These are the spices I like to use. Maybe the brands will change, but the spice itself does not change. Just the company that makes it from time to time.
This was nice and juicy and hubby made gravy from the turkey juices.

2 Corinthians 9:15

“Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift.”

King James Version (KJV)

Psalms 106:1

“Praise ye the LORD. O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.”

King James Version (KJV)

Whipped potatoes with butter and not cream, some salt and black pepper. We prefer it this way, so creamy!

Psalms 105:1

“O give thanks unto the LORD; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people.”

King James Version (KJV)

Stove top stuffing. Husband likes it and it saves me time out of the kitchen too.
Hubby likes this brand, and that’s good. Less to do in th kitchen.

Psalms 20:4

“Grant thee according to thine own heart, and fulfil all thy counsel.”

King James Version (KJV)

Homemade cranberry sauce from whole cranberries!

Psalms 30:12

“To the end that my glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give thanks unto thee for ever.”

King James Version (KJV)

Collards cooking.

Now viewing scripture range from the book of Psalms chapter 118:1 through chapter 118:18…

Psalms Chapter 118

1 O give thanks unto the LORD; for [he is] good: because his mercy [endureth] for ever.

Homegrown beans for our meal.

Colossians 3:15

“And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.”

King James Version (KJV)

Deviled eggs per request.

Colossians 4:2

“Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;”

King James Version (KJV)

Apples , cherries and raisins sauteed in butter, brown sugar and apple juice until thickened some to add to yogurt for fruit parfaits.
Vanilla yogurt and sauteed fruit combo.

Colossians 3:17

“And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.”

King James Version (KJV)

The one thing I didn’t make from scratch beside the stuffing was the iced Arizona Zero Green tea. All of the main meal I made , except for the tea. I suppose it was not challenging enough for me to make! LOL! But I do happen to like this brand of tea. All pictures of the food are mine as I was getting the meal done. I will share the recipe if enough of you ask.

Psalms 100:4

“Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.”

King James Version (KJV)

Let us all pray for all of the people we know and don’t know. For we do not know what situations they are in at this time. Some people are quite about what they are going through for not wanting to let others know for pride or whatever regarding if they need help in getting food. Share what you can and feel that the LORD is compelling you to do. Not what any person will demand that you do, listen to GOD and he will aim you in the direction you need to be to help someone.

Praise and glory be to GOD now and forever and all of eternity long. Have a safe, blessed, happy thanks giving . Please pass this blog post forward to others so they can be blessed as well too.

Peace!!!
