Sustainable living with learning to gardening.

Are there things you try to practice daily to live a more sustainable lifestyle?

I love to watch any gardening show where I see them growing food I like to eat. I also learned new vegetables I have not seen before being grown as well too.

I watched @LyThiCa10091993 on YouTube. I do not know this young woman’s name, but she has a method of growing food in I think it’s Korea.

She will forage for food to sell at a market. Now that I thought it was an excellent example of a sustainable lifestyle.

She has a small farm of fish, goats, chickens, pigs, ducks, and pigeons. She grows cabbage, beans, eggplant, onions, garlic, and cucumbers, to say the least.

I first started watching it when she built her houses. I got ideas on that, too.

We have rain barrels, stored and jarred food, both dry beans and rice. I am still learning from these shows.

Using ashes from wood and weeds for fertilizer is something I learned, too. I already knew about cow and chicken manure for fertilizer since I was a child.

All from our garden. Thank GOD for all of HIS blessings!

Power (energy to run things), water, food (saving seeds), canning, and knowing how to store these things for the long term. That’s our goal.

Growing dates from the seed of dried dates from the store. Storing pickeled eggs. Hot peppers made into “cowboy candy.” Tomatoes from the garden made into sauce. Corn from our neighbors farm all canned up.

Peace and blessings ❤️
