Hello everyone!

I do pray that all of you who stopped by to read some of words of GOD and encouragement will find some peace too.

Well you know how school children will form cliques and want to be exclusive ? Or even when as adults in the world will do to each other. To aim to bring themselves up while putting others down?

This is something that is not of our beloved FATHER GOD and HIS SON JESUS ✝️. They do not, I mean do not and have not excluded any from salvation. This is a choice people will make in life as they are made aware there is choice.

This is a little over an hour. So be prepared ❤

It is better to depend on the LORD GOD 🙏🏾 at all times to guide your steps than to deal with the nonsense of the world when it comes to these people who depend on cliques for exclusion and power. See all they have is each other. We have the creator GOD and HIS SON JESUS . They cannot beat that.

1 Peter 5:7 – Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

Psalms 34:18 – The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.

GOD loves those who love HIM and HIS laws. Those that reject GOD and HIS SON JESUS will suffer the consequences in a big hurry. So it is good to be rejected by unsaved people. You stay out of the wrath of GOD when you do.

You could be the only true Christian in a whole group of 50 people. But GOD is always greater and with you.

It is a blessing to have these people who hate GOD leave you alone. They are living a life of confusion right now. Not seeing the harm they are doing to not only others but themselves.

Isaiah 53:3

“He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.”

Stay in prayer in all you do because you can be distracted by lost souls who envy you and do not wish you well.

Are there Binghamton Black Christian Artists besides me?

  • My entry drawing of “Compassion” for a local a Binghamton Art Contest in 2020.

As an free form, or hand drawn artist meaning not a graphic artist using computers. I am just old school about my art. I would love to make graphic when I am bale to get an updated computer.

But I am grateful for what I have right now.

As a black woman living in Upstate New York, I find it is a different world than Downstate New York. And for one to say they are a Christian and an artist that is looking for an Art Gallery to promote their work is almost futile. I feel like when I say I am a Christian people will look at me as though I have two heads. LOL!

There are galleries here, but the culture and ideas of what is art is not what I feel comfortable doing. Even with the nudes or other themes that are even more “out of the box” teachings of the type of art where college I attended art classes!

I would love to network with more local artists of any color, but I would love to meet more people of color too. Share ideas, learn about new call to artist events and so on.

FASST Fine Arts Society Of The Southern Tier

Good morning or whatever time it is during the day for you all! I do pray you will all have a blessed day!

Being a Christian is hard work when you want to do what is right. Being a Christian artist is more of a challenge because many artists I meet in conversation are secular and do not have the same thoughts as I do. And when I meet one like in the organization I am a member of, it is like a breath of fresh air!

In the area mall the Fine Arts Society of the Southern Tier aka “FASST” I met up with Barbara and her brother Douglas as they were in the FASST store front as it were their turn to manage the store. As it turns out, she and her husband have a ministry as well!

She is an artist along with her brother and this was good to know. Not all of us artists feel we need to leave GOD out of our lives , and in this world when you want to do clean hearted drawings, it will make those who want to draw things not worth repeating.

People fascinate me because I care about their souls. I draw tracts, Biblical themes , portraits and couples. I do draw still life, but I would rather take photos of flowers to get the full impact of the color of how it is. That’s how I feel about it right now for what I draw, for I maybe led by the HOLY SPIRIT to draw something else.

I do love to enter my drawings in art events. These pictures you see are from last months showing in the FASST art gallery in Binghamton.

Artwork was in one of the local newspapers too.

My artwork was not in a major big newspaper like the New York Times, but I am grateful for what I got. When the LORD wants it to be known, and how it is to be known HE will let me know. GOD is cool like that.

Always stay humble while sharing your work. I hope I always will be. My husband and other people say I am and that is good. Once you think you are better than others that’s when you are shown you are wrong. I strive to be good and better than I was the last time I drew anything. I draw better from realife and Photos. I am able to take my time and pay attention to the lines of the subject. For when I do quick sketches it will be for children’s books like I have done for the Brooklyn Arts Sketchbook Project. That will be in another blog with those pictures.

Once I become known in GODS timing I will be able to make a living from it as GOD sees fit. So with that being said, I am not there yet. But I will not give up for I depend on GOD to lead the way.

My inspiration was Ephesians chapter 6, verse 11.

“Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.”

That’s what we need to do when we need to get through the nonsense of the world. I pray that in all I do, any blog post I do will encourage others to do GOD’s will in all that you do. For by faith is how we walk, with GOD and HIS beloved son JESUS giving a loving guidance at all times.
