I grew up listening to Black Gospel music. All by various artists. Those from whom my elders listened to, to my generation of artists.
My husband grew up listening to artists like Steve Green.”People need the LORD.” I’ve never heard of this singer before we got married. He’s good. But not the style I prefer, Mr. Green is under Christian music.
The genre of music my husband listens to. I understand this is “Christian genre” music . There is a distinct difference from Black Gospel music and Christian music.
There are some songs when you listen to the words you will say, ” Yeah, me too!”. Like Pastor Deitrick Haddon’s song “Well Done.” I don’t know anyone who wants to go to hell. If you don’t make it into heaven, then that’s where you’re going.
Even though “Well Done” and “Every Praise” are oldies, they are good oldies. Why not give every praise to our beloved FATHER GOD?
This song by Hezekiah Walker makes me smile. They are Praising GOD right out loud. A song like this never gets old to me.
This music can pick you up and make you tap your foot, taking your mind off of the negative issues around you.
Psalms 105:2
“Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous works.”
King James Version (KJV)
Praise and glory be to GOD for all of the blessings that HE gives us mankind.
The gift of JESUS HIS son! Gospel music will have us praising and tapping our foot at the same time.
Today , I was looking for ideas on some gardening in containers I have not thought of before. Living in zone 5b, there is not too many things that will survive the winter frost here in Upstate NY. Many of us lost some of our fruit trees and that was not good.
I did come to a YouTube video on VOX regarding growing flowers and veggies in vacant lots in downstate Brooklyn NY though. From what I have found that was interesting to me that there were 2 women who wanted to add trees and beautify the land with plants and veggies for those who needed food.
It is good to see people helping each other, especially when it comes to getting food to eat. Above is a picture of Lindas roof top garden. Making New York City greener!
Hattie Carthan was an activist to grow tree in the area of brooklyn that was red lined by real estate. There were less trees in the poor areas than the wealthier areas. She helped to plant trees to better the air quality.
If you have time look into how these two women have started a trend of using the vacant lots in the area where they lived. There are many areas all over the earth that has space to grow food if given the supplies and knowledge to do so. It is hard work, but if you enjoy gardening and showing others how to grow food you all will be filled with joy in the end result.
This is a picture of the Liz Christy Garden.
Romans 12:20
‘If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink.‘
James 2:15-16
‘Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it?
This may not seem like much to talk about. When you see the rising cost of groceries today, and how people need food, it put ideas in my mind too to help feed people. Like with the extra food you cant store or preserve have a free stand for those to get food. Give some to the elderly. Homeless shelters if you can. What ever it is that you are lead to do by GOD.
I do hope you all are well. And that our beloved GOD is continuing to watch over you all at all times. In this day and age people are still into the idols as they were back in the day of Moses. By not trusting in the one and only true living GOD who created them. They create a god with their own hands and bow down to worship it. Nonsense. And it continues today!
What took my interest was the Shroud of Turin. People claiming to believe this is what our beloved JESUS was wrapped in at the time of HIS death here in heaven. They have these images of a person whose face is on the linen cloth.
Because I was going by the word of GOD in Exodus 20:4 “You shall not make for yourself an idol, or any likeness of what is in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the water under the earth. – New American Standard Version (1995)
If we are told not to create an idol or any image from heaven (or assume that this would be the face of JESUS), then why would our beloved JESUS allow this Shroud of Turin to happen?
Exodus 20:4
“Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:”
King James Version (KJV)
So I did some research on this just from the Bible and some Google sites. And this is what I came up with also
Forensic research (once again) suggests the Shroud of Turin is fake
The new research is in line with numerous previous studies that have concluded that the Shroud is not authentic. Earlier carbon dating work has determined that it dates to 1260 to 1390; Jesus is generally believed to have died in the year 33. And a blue ribbon panel called the Turin Commission concluded in 1979 that stains on the garment are likely pigments, not blood, while textiles experts and art historians have suggested that the materials and images are not from the right era.
As early as 1390, about 35 years after the Shroud first emerged in France, Pierre d’Arcis, the Catholic bishop in Troyes, wrote to Pope Clement VII that the shroud was “a clever sleight of hand” by someone “falsely declaring this was the actual shroud in which Jesus was enfolded in the tomb to attract the multitude so that money might cunningly be wrung from them.”
“Blood analysis: Chemical and biological testing proves that there are blood stains on the Shroud, of blood type AB and antigen group MNS. Moreover, there are no paint pigments of any kind on the Shroud—eliminating the possibility that the Shroud is some sort of supremely clever artistic forgery.”
I was trying to understand what this was when I heard about a Pastor mentioning it. from what I understand the blood type is not even from the area where JESUS walked on the earth. It is more from an Arian nation of Caucasian people.
Antigens present in AB+ also play a vital role in plasma donations. While AB+ blood has both A and B antigens on the red blood cells, neither of the antigens are present in the plasma. This makes AB+ the universal plasma donor, meaning that AB+ plasma can be transfused into patients who have any other ABO blood type. The AB blood group is believed to be the newest blood type. The AB blood group is the result of the intermingling between Caucasian (commonly group A) and Mongolian (commonly group B) people. For these reasons, the AB blood group is found in low percentages throughout the European population, but appears more commonly within the sub-continental Indian population. This was found at this site: https://www.carterbloodcare.org/blog/2014/12/22/my-blood-type-is-ab/#:~:text=The%20AB%20blood%20group%20is%20the%20result%20of%20the%20intermingling,the%20sub%2Dcontinental%20Indian%20population.
Now I will say that we all are free to check this out on our own, as to if this man made cloth with an image of a man is real. I feel it is real as to it being made and there is an imoression on this shroud. But I do not feel it is of JESUS at all.
The image is unmistakable, but the actual evidence for the Shroud’s authenticity is less so. That’s not for lack of trying. Serious studies of the Shroud date back to the 1970s, when multiple groups of scientists from various backgrounds conducted a series of technical examinations of the Shroud and the image on it. Their findings sparked academic debates and subsequent studies that would go on for decades.
Today, the bulk of evidence indicates that the Shroud originated sometime around the Middle Ages, and was created by human hands. Despite this, there’s still no consensus on how, exactly, the image was made, leaving the door open to a number of fringe theories and speculations.” By Nathaniel ScharpingApr 3, 2023 4:00 PM discover magazine
1 John 5:21
“Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen.”
King James Version (KJV)
We all need to make sure of the things that man say is true or not by backing up what they have said with the Bible. We will see the true face of JESUS when it is time. And something like the Shroud of Turin is not it. I just ask that we all be careful as what we choose to believe. For JESUS will be coming at anytime from this second on. We need to be ready.
My family, I had missed them so much. We have not seen each other since we couldn’t travel due to Covid19. 😔Like most people I know they had to wait until they were able to see their loved ones. I waited and when we finally got to see each other we were all smiles!
That was something, that covid cause a lot of negative situations to say the least. That was the worst time in social history that I could think of in my lifetime to have to go through. It was like the whole world was under lock down and had to be indoors for a period of time. And then had to wear a mask wherever you go too.
It was a very joyful vacation we all had together last year as we all re-bonded together for lack of a better a better word to explain it. Joyful tears and all teeth showing through the smiles too.
The weather was perfect, not too hot and there was no rain when we were all together celebrating our freedom from lock down!
We shared our meals, caught up on things that we didn’t mention over the many phone calls. Noticing who lost or gained weight from not being able to get out side as usual too. We all had fun, it was so cool.
Not our son, that is pictured here, this is a WordPress library photo! I am not sure if my son would want his private information shown here.
Our son got married while we were on vacation. The wedding was planned for when the travel ban was lifted and we also met my sons family at the same time. They have a larger family with so many wonderful and nice people!
I saw my son the happiest I have ever seen him, smiling and grinning like never before. His new bride too. I pray that they will have a blessed union with each other and continue to make each other happy living long lives together.
During the Mother Son dance I cried for tears of joy, seeing our baby boy become a Godly young man. I still remember when I gave birth to my son, thanking GOD for a healthy happy beautiful baby boy.
How Did the Rainbow Flag Become a Symbol of LGBTQ Pride? Written by

The Editors of Encyclopaedia Britannica June has long been recognized as LGBTQ Pride Month, in honor of the Stonewall riots, which took place in New York City in June 1969. During Pride Month, it is not uncommon to see the rainbow flag being proudly displayed as a symbol for the LGBTQ rights movement. But how did that flag become a symbol of LGBTQ pride? It goes back to 1978, when the artist Gilbert Baker, an openly gay man and a drag queen, designed the first rainbow flag. Baker later revealed that he was urged by Harvey Milk, one of the first openly gay elected officials in the U.S., to create a symbol of pride for the gay community. Baker decided to make that symbol a flag because he saw flags as the most powerful symbol of pride. https://www.britannica.com/story/how-did-the-rainbow-flag-become-a-symbol-of-lgbt-prideHow Did the Rainbow Flag Become a Symbol of LGBTQ Pride? I do ask anyone who doesn’t understand the sacred covenant between GOD and mankind to read the book of Genesis. And what had happened after the great flood. Because once you understand why it is not good to disrespect what GOD has made, sacred. You will have the choice to stop or answer to this disrespectful act you are doing.
Yes, the rain bow is beautiful to see. With the beautiful colors our beloved FATHER GOD has made. But we must understand why we even see a rainbow 🌈 after a hard rain.
We all have to answer for the sins we do daily, be it knowingly or unknowingly. When you realize what you are doing is not right with GOD, stop it. Repent and accept GOD’S perfect son JESUS as your savior. Simple and righteousness thing to with the help from JESUS!
Have time with GOD, JESUS, and the HOLY Spirit and get your prayers and praise on.
In prayer, I do give thanks to my beloved FATHER GOD and JESUS for all that they have done for my very soul!
Everything I have is from GOD. From my life to all of the things I have, my health, and my salvation to start from.
To my answered prayers, too. I will tell you there were times when I prayed for help with tears falling from my eyes. Our beloved JESUS was right there.
I could feel the presence of HIS Holy being right there, covering me with HIS Holy warmth pouring all over me from head to toe.
Then, when my prayer was done, upon opening my eyes and wiping away the tear drops, I felt comfort. Knowing that by giving the burden to JESUS my savior, I was relieved.
Psalm 100 is one that I have read that will let me get back on track. Nothing is too hard for GOD. Nothing, because GOD is the creator! Who or what can stop GOD from helping us?
I don’t worry or have anxiety about the future. Because I have accepted JESUS as my savior, and I will be going to heaven.
I will say, worrying about anything doesn’t help you now in the present. Now uou can be concerned without it taking your joy from you. But to have the worry, take control of your day.
It is not an easy task if you have a lot of responsibilities to take care of. But the key I have learned is to accept what you can do and can’t . GOD, THE FATHER can do everything and all things but fail.
Give your burdens to JESUS. HE can see what you are currently going through. I will tell you as a child of GOD , when and every single time I called on JESUS, HE heard me, and I could feel the comfort immediately when I prayed.
For real! There were times when I would have a burden so heavy I felt like like I was laying face down on the ground.
Even Charlie Brown knew not worry about worrying!😄
Leave your troubles and burdens with the LORD. Keep your faith 🙏🏾 😃❤️
There is only one great teacher I know of who has been this way with me. Including being loving, patient, and understanding.
Continually with me to pick me up when I make mistakes and always showing me what happened and why. It is usually my judgment that caused it
This teacher is perfect, making HIM the greatest teacher of all time! HIS name is JESUS.
“The Beatitudes
In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus explains to his followers what kinds of human lives are blessed by God. The statements he made are known as the Beatitudes.
According to Jesus, God gives his blessing to:
the meek – meaning humble people
those who make peace
those who show mercy to others
Jesus also mentioned that people who are persecuted because of their faith will be blessed and find reward in Heaven (Matthew 5:3–11).
Jesus’ teachings about God’s law
The Bible relates how some of the people who came to hear Jesus give sermons feared that he was opposed to the teachings in the Old Testament, which people had been following for a long time. However, in the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus explained that he had not come to overturn God’s laws but to make sure they were upheld.
Jesus expanded on the Old Testament teachings, explaining that God had ever higher expectations of how people should behave towards each other:”
Family time with your elders and cousins was special 💗
Hello all,
How many of you remember the family dinners from a child?
Back as a small child, when we had family dinners, I would see cousins I have not seen since the year before.
Elders that would hug you so hard while giving you those juicy kisses on your cheek. and then realizing you still didn’t understand who they were from the 1st time you met them. So many people.
All of them seemed so tall back then that I had to tilt your head back to see their face. Yes, I was that small then. Now I am taller than them all.😄
I recall when we were about to eat dinner, there was prayer. Prayer over the meal that my Grandmother laid out on the kitchen table. Looking extra special with the table cloth, silverware, and plates.
Saying grace over our food is a tradition that was done then, and I still do now. GOD is good, and blessed us with my Grandmother who was an excellent cook. As my Grand uncle said grace, every eye was closed, head bowed, and hands clasped.
We had our hands clasped, but in the picture, they are holding hands while praying.
Proverbs 15:17
“Better is a dinner of herbs where love is, than a stalled ox and hatred therewith.”
King James Version (KJV)
The meal took from early in the morning to prepare and was ready in the afternoon with our cousins and elders would arrive.
We all were catching up with our events from the last time we met.
Proverbs 22:6
I remember those graces that were told. They came from the Bible and it felt like I was in church again as the food was being blessed.
When the “Amen!” was said all you could hear was chewing. Some would some like “mmm-mmm!” Or you outdid yourself! Once they got their fill , they began to talk again. Laughing over good memories.
From eating good meal, the men dozed off in the living room. The women washed dishes, and we kids played.
I miss those family meals. We kids have all grown up now. And most of the elders are with the LORD GOD now. 🙏🏾
I love to watch any gardening show where I see them growing food I like to eat. I also learned new vegetables I have not seen before being grown as well too.
I watched @LyThiCa10091993 on YouTube. I do not know this young woman’s name, but she has a method of growing food in I think it’s Korea.
She will forage for food to sell at a market. Now that I thought it was an excellent example of a sustainable lifestyle.
She has a small farm of fish, goats, chickens, pigs, ducks, and pigeons. She grows cabbage, beans, eggplant, onions, garlic, and cucumbers, to say the least.
I first started watching it when she built her houses. I got ideas on that, too.
We have rain barrels, stored and jarred food, both dry beans and rice. I am still learning from these shows.
Using ashes from wood and weeds for fertilizer is something I learned, too. I already knew about cow and chicken manure for fertilizer since I was a child.
All from our garden. Thank GOD for all of HIS blessings!
Power (energy to run things), water, food (saving seeds), canning, and knowing how to store these things for the long term. That’s our goal.
Growing dates from the seed of dried dates from the store. Storing pickeled eggs. Hot peppers made into “cowboy candy.” Tomatoes from the garden made into sauce. Corn from our neighbors farm all canned up.
